This September, 21,000 tickets for independent films will be available for 1 euro in 34 cinemas in Brussels and Wallonia.
The first tickets went on sale on Wednesday. The offer is part of this year's edition of the "J'peux pas, j'ai cinéma" campaign organised by the Film and Audiovisual Centre of the French Community of Belgium (FWB).
Now in its fourth year, the campaign aims to attract audiences to independent films or cinemas, promote Belgian films and support cinemas. The FWB will reimburse the cinemas at the usual rate for every ticket sold.
The participating Brussels cinemas are Aventure, Cineflagey, Galeries, Le Stockel, Palace, Vendôme and White Cinema Docks. In Wallonia, there are selected cinemas are in all five provinces.
Available tickets will go on sale every Monday at 20.00. Reservations can be made until midnight the day before the screening. The complete programme is available on the campaign's website.
