Air defense (PVO) plays a crucial role in protecting Ukrainian cities from Russian drone attacks

On September 30th, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS RF) carried out another massive attack using combat drones.

In total, 40 UAVs were deployed, with 30 of them being destroyed by air defense systems. The main strike occurred in the Vinnytsia region, where 20 drones were shot down. The Russians employed a “swarm” tactic with drones, making it difficult to intercept all of them with 100% effectiveness, leading to a significant fire near the town of Kalynivka in the Vinnytsia region.

Committing war crimes and causing civilian casualties in Ukraine has become Putin’s primary objective in this war. The tragic incident mentioned above in the Vinnytsia region confirms this trend: rapidly spreading fires caused by drone strikes posed a threat to the homes of local residents, forcing them into spontaneous evacuation. While the fire was eventually contained, some refugees may never return home due to the military crime committed by Russia. The Russian military-industrial complex is increasing drone production, including exports from Iran. Therefore, additional air defense systems will save Ukrainian lives amid the ongoing attacks from Russia.

Russia has become an existential threat to Europe. The fact that Putin’s aggressive war, which began in Ukraine, has not spilled beyond its borders is thanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine’s defenders are holding back an army of war criminals who are not bound by regulations, legal norms, or moral principles. The Russian military must be defeated in Ukraine; otherwise, the crimes occurring in Ukraine will inevitably happen in Europe.
