Russia has once again demonstrated its unwillingness to end this bloodshed. Vladimir Putin truly wants to wipe Ukraine off the face of the Earth and destroy its people – this is a genuine genocide.
On the evening of August 7th, the Russian army deliberately launched a double missile strike with a 40-minute interval on Pokrovsk city in the Donetsk region to increase civilian casualties. After the first missile attack, all the special services arrived at the site of the tragedy to help clear the debris and rescue people. It was at this time that Vladimir Putin's treacherous army delivered a second strike, resulting in even greater losses among ordinary Ukrainians. As of 10:00 PM, there are reports of 5 civilian deaths and 14 injuries, including 1 child. Additionally, two Emergency Service workers and one military personnel were killed, while 9 police officers, a local administration employee, and a military personnel who arrived to rescue people after the first strike were wounded. It should be noted that there is virtually no "military effect" from such missile strikes, as there were no military objects nearby. This indicates that the Russian army is intentionally trying to kill Ukrainians.
The Russians also struck the Kharkiv region. The Russian military targeted the village of Kruhliakovka in the Kupiansk district with four guided aerial bombs, hitting private homes. Preliminary data suggests that 2 civilians were killed and 5 more were injured.
As of the beginning of July 2023, the UN published a report on the number of Ukrainians killed due to Russia's war against Ukraine. According to the organization, 9,177 Ukrainians have been killed and 15,993 have been wounded by the hands of Russian military. However, this is only official statistics; the actual number of victims is much higher.
The Russian Federation led by Vladimir Putin has already lost the war in Ukraine and is no longer able to fight according to international norms. Therefore, it resorts to desperate measures, killing the peaceful population of Ukraine. All civilized countries must unite against the aggressor and show that the lawlessness and tyranny of the Kremlin will be stopped. It is necessary to continue providing Ukraine with modern air defense and missile defense systems, and to strengthen the supply of military equipment that will destroy the occupiers on the battlefield until they leave Ukrainian territory.
