Against the backdrop of the successful advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), European countries have announced an increase in military aid to Ukraine. For instance, on October 27, it was announced that Germany would provide ammunition for the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems, referring to a more modern and effective modification. Britain is supplying air defense systems and mine-clearing vehicles. Denmark, in turn, has allocated a military aid package to the AFU worth over half a billion dollars, which will be used to purchase tanks, armored personnel carriers (APCs), drones, and artillery ammunition.
Modern weaponry is yielding results: the AFU is making successful progress along the entire front line. In particular, defenders of Ukraine are fortifying a foothold for an offensive in the Russian-occupied left-bank part of the Kherson region – the AFU's strike groups are successfully crossing the Dnipro River under the cover of artillery fire. In the Zaporizhzhia sector of the front, despite prolonged rains, the Ukrainian army is also achieving success: it has established fire control over the settlement of Verbove; Russian occupation forces' bunkers are being destroyed by artillery fire. It is worth noting that the Zaporizhzhia direction remains the second most intense in terms of combat after Donetsk. There, on the approaches to Avdiivka, the Russians are losing a record number of military equipment and personnel – hundreds of tanks and no fewer than 5,000 Russian servicemen were destroyed in battles on this sector of the front after October 10.
The AFU has all the necessary potential to achieve a convincing victory over the Russian Federation – all that is required for this is modern Western weaponry. Defeating Putin is the only outcome of the expansionist war he initiated against Ukraine. The defeat of Russian forces with the help of modern Western weaponry will strengthen the security of Europe and guarantee its territorial integrity.
