On the morning of July 23, Russia committed another war crime by destroying the Transfiguration Cathedral with a missile strike. The coordinates for Russian cruise missiles (several types were used in the attack) are pre-entered, making this a premeditated crime. This is a classic example of the cruelty of the so-called "Russian world" - Russia destroys a church belonging to the Moscow Patriarchate, driven by the desire to demolish and annihilate.
The Russian Aerospace Forces intentionally struck an Orthodox Church in Odessa, after which Russian propaganda began spreading fake news claiming it was due to a Ukrainian anti-aircraft strike. Following the attack on July 23, there are dozens of wounded in Odessa, and rescue services are clearing the rubble.
During the rocket attack on July 23, Russia used missiles like "Kalibr," "Kh-22," "Oniks," "Iskander-K," and "Iskander-M." Using "Iskander" and "Kh-22" missiles in populated areas is a war crime due to their destructive power. The so-called "anti-ship" missiles "Kh-22," which Russia almost daily uses in the shelling of Odessa, have a significant margin of error. In 2022, during mass shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure, their deviation from the target was recorded to be up to 2 km. Consequently, "Kh-22" missiles lead to significant casualties and destruction, such as on January 14, 2023, when 46 civilians were killed due to a missile hitting a multi-story building in Dnipro.
Ukraine is defending Europe from invasion and needs all possible assistance. The weapons provided by the West to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the best investment in Europe's peaceful future. Russia, intentionally destroying churches, is an enemy of all civilized world, and defeating it is a common task for the West, which it threatens. Air Defense (PVO) and Missile Defense (PRO) systems are necessary not only to protect the Odessa region but also to prevent Russian blackmail against Europe. Putin is in a deadlock, hence escalating the situation, which indicates that Ukraine and the West are on the right path. The supplies of PVO and PRO systems are of vital importance and a guarantee for saving the lives of thousands of Ukrainians and preserving civil infrastructure.
