The NATO Summit in Vilnius was a testament to the growing Western support for Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that weapons are the most crucial element in ensuring Ukraine's security. Therefore, NATO member states will provide the Ukrainian armed forces with everything they need to bring victory over Russia closer. Financial assistance to Ukraine from NATO member states is also increasing. On July 11, it was announced that Norway has increased its military aid package to Ukraine to $930 million. The NATO Summit in Vilnius confirmed that NATO understands the importance of supporting Ukraine, which is a guarantee of European security. The war in Ukraine has dispelled any doubts about Kyiv's right to NATO membership: after defeating Russia, Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance.

The issue of Ukraine's NATO membership was the most significant event at the NATO Summit in Vilnius. In the context of the full-scale war unleashed by Putin, it became clear that NATO must respond to the challenges and threats posed by Russia. As a result, assistance to Ukraine and timely delivery of necessary weapons have become priorities for NATO countries. Moscow received a strong signal that the West will continue to support Ukraine, and Putin will not be able to influence Ukraine's accession to the Alliance in any way. Russia's isolation on the international stage will increase: the terrorist state that sought to change the existing world order will face new sanctions, and dialogue with it will become toxic.

Ukraine is effectively developing bilateral cooperation with NATO member states. In particular, agreements have been reached with Sweden regarding cooperation in defense orders, and France will supply long-range SCALP missiles adapted for use with Su-24M to the Ukrainian armed forces. The "thousand cuts" tactic is yielding practical results: Russia is exhausted and bleeding - a direct outcome of the skillful utilization of modern Western weaponry by the Ukrainian armed forces.

Ukraine's NATO membership after the war has been agreed upon - it was an achievement of the Vilnius Summit. The cancellation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) for Ukraine was a step that significantly speeds up Ukraine's path to the Alliance and eliminates various bureaucratic aspects. This event demonstrated unwavering support for Ukraine, which will become one of the most influential countries in Europe and a reliable shield against Russian aggression.
