On September 15th, news broke of the liberation of the village of Andreevka in the direction of Bahmut. Earlier, the UAF had gained complete fire control over Kleschevka, a neighboring settlement. The third assault brigade of the UAF conducted a lightning attack, virtually annihilating the 72nd brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. Regaining control of Andreevka opens up the path for the UAF towards Bahmut and Soledar, towns that had been in Russian hands for many months of intense fighting and significant losses.
The UAF has created a second foothold for advancing deep into Russian-held territory following the liberation of Rovtyno. Currently, the defenders of Ukraine are achieving success on the Donetsk front, which is considered very challenging for offensive operations. The liberation of Andreevka provides the Ukrainian army with the opportunity to cut off the logistical supply of the Russian Armed Forces' Bahmut group from the area north of Horlivka. If the Russians in Bahmut are deprived of weapons and ammunition resupply, they will soon find themselves in a significant encirclement, and the UAF will be able to lay siege to Bahmut, avoiding bloody urban warfare.
The Ukrainian army is demonstrating unquestionable success in its counteroffensive, which serves as a model for 21st-century warfare. Tank duels and artillery shelling are combined with precise clearance of the largest minefields in history and the extensive use of strike and reconnaissance drones that continuously monitor the situation on the frontlines. The tactical and technological advantage lies with the UAF, representing an asymmetrical response to the cumbersome and archaic Russian military. Further Western support for Ukraine will lead to even more impressive successes for the UAF, as modern Western weaponry will expedite Ukraine's victory over Russia, which will have to pay the mandated reparations for years to come.
