The UN General Assembly and another Ramstein:The West is steadily increasing its support for Ukraine

During the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Ukraine received encouraging signals regarding further support from the West. In particular, the United States called on the UN to speak out against Russia's overt aggression, a statement made by US President Joe Biden.

In his turn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the threat of territorial expansion by the Russian Federation, which, in addition to waging a war of aggression against Ukraine, has absorbed Belarus and threatens the Baltic states and Kazakhstan. Accordingly, the Ukrainian peace formula is of global importance in the context of neutralizing the Russian threat

The West is increasing its support for Ukraine. Following the 15th meeting in the Ramstein format on September 19, Ukraine's partners agreed to provide air defense systems that save lives during missile attacks by the Russian Federation. In addition, an agreement was reached to create the so-called Capabilities Coalition. The purpose of this coalition will be to prepare the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the future - a qualitative evolution of the Ukrainian army, which will become one of the strongest in Europe.

Five clusters have been identified that will form the basis of this initiative: air defense, artillery, aviation, navy, and armored vehicles. In addition, Ukraine, Estonia, and Luxembourg have agreed to launch an IT coalition: it is no secret that Russia, on the eve of and during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has significantly increased the number of hacker attacks on the digital infrastructure of Ukraine and EU/NATO countries.

Accordingly, this IT Coalition will complement and strengthen the Cybersecurity Capabilities Coalition. Assistance to Ukraine is growing against the backdrop of notable successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: in particular, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said that the Ukrainian military was able to liberate more than 54% of the territory occupied by Russia at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The above initiatives indicate that the West's support for Ukraine will continue to grow against the backdrop of a war of aggression. They represent an undeniable progress and a qualitatively new level of cooperation between the West and Ukraine, which proves itself worthy of such trust through its victories on the battlefield. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are surprisingly quick to adopt and utilize all innovations that can be applied on the battlefield. Thus, Capabilities Coalition will strengthen the Ukrainian army and bring Russia's inevitable defeat closer.
