On the morning of September 13, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. This attack was the most devastating for the Russian fleet during the entire war. The Minsk landing ship was destroyed, which the Russians had transported from the Baltic to the Black Sea on the eve of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The attack on Sevastopol came as a shock to the Russians - the Crimean bridge was closed several times overnight, fearing further missile and drone strikes. Russian air defense systems proved helpless against the British Storm Shadow missiles: despite the Russian Defense Ministry's claims that most of these missiles were intercepted, the scale of the destruction and the photo of the fire that broke out at the site of the Russian warships' deployment testify to the neutralization of the enemy's legitimate military target for the AFU. Accordingly, the strike on the port was a blow to Putin's image, as British missiles destroy Russian ships in Sevastopol, a city of special importance to the Kremlin dictator. On September 14, it became known about the destruction in Crimea of the Russian S-400 air defense system, which costs $1.2 billion - the complex was hit by two Neptun missiles. It is important that this fact is not covered in any way by the Russian media, which do not wish to manifest the disgrace of the "world's second army" to Russian society.
Russia's military presence in the Black Sea must cease to be a threat to the countries of the Black Sea region. Russia's terrorist activities - mining of the northwestern Black Sea, blockade of Ukrainian ports, forced searches of foreign vessels in this part of the Black Sea - are a hybrid threat to the West. After the September 13 attack, military experts began to speculate that the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet would be gradually destroyed. In fact, this is the only solution for the security of not only Ukraine but also the West. Russia has historically committed war crimes, which have been embodied in the most horrific form in 21st century Ukraine. If Putin is not stopped, the Russian army will come to Europe - a number of opinion polls show that Russians hate Ukraine and the West and want them destroyed. Accordingly, the destruction of the Russian army with modern Western weapons is the only real guarantee of security for the EU and NATO and a way to prevent war with Russia.
